Welcome to the Strathendrick Singers’ website

We are an amateur choir of around forty singers, drawing our membership from the villages in the valley of the River Endrick in Stirlingshire, Scotland. In 2017 we celebrated the 40th anniversary of the founding of the choir. Our director, Mark Evans has led us for over 14 years and continues to inspire and improve us.

Concerts are performed, two at Christmas and two in Spring each year (see the 'Concerts' tab for our next concerts), rehearsing between September and April. Details of these and all our current activities can be found on our Facebook page . You don’t need to be signed up to Facebook to view this, although if you are, we’d love it if you’d ‘like’ us.

Our repertoire is largely classical and sacred music, ranging from the familiar to lesser-known modern compositions. Rehearsals can be challenging but are always fun, and a great way to occupy intellectual, emotional and physical space as a team.

New members are always welcome - especially altos, tenors and basses - so if you enjoy singing, however rusty, please get in touch. We rehearse in Balfron Church on Monday nights from 19:30 - 21:45 with a sociable tea break. Experience of reading music is necessary to participate fully.
